One of the first books I've ever read as a young adult. Couldn't stop turning page after page. Although the ending didn't have that "surprise" effect.

Amazing psychological mystery. 

I normally don't read psychological thrillers. Mostly because I already have difficulty falling asleep at night. Jen Campbell kept mentioning these in her videos, and I have been wanting to read a well-written mystery with serious undertones. This one did the trick. 

If you are sensitive about child abuse this is not the novel for you. On the other hand, if you typically deal with these themes well then this might convince you to think otherwise. I felt thoroughly scared and kept guessing throughout the novel. Thankfully, my sleep patterns have been so poor this week this thriller did not interrupt. Also, thankfully, these poor sleep patterns meant that I had many spare moments to pick this book back up and continue reading. In fact, I would pick it up, get creeped and have to put it down. And then I would pick it back up again. 

Given you have are fine with heeby-jeebies, READ THIS. I am looking forward to continuing this series... After I have given myself some time to catch up on my sleep.

Omdat ik zoveel over deze serie heb gehoord, ging ik hier met heel veel enthousiasme in. Helaas viel het erg tegen. De spanning ontbrak; ik had na elk hoofdstuk erg weinig zin om door te lezen. Ben blij dat ik er vanaf ben.
