Maybe a little long in the tooth but that ending fucking slapped

Lunar Park starts promising: a disarming Bret self-portrait, darkly funny and unsettling. But as it veers into Stephen King territory - murderous toys, Bateman returns! - the intrigue crumbles. It's a fascinating mess, but ultimately, a missed opportunity for something truly profound.

I tried so hard to finish this book and just could not push myself through it. It took me twenty days to get as far as I did and that's a big waste of time on a book for me. It seemed to just ride on the success of American Psycho, and there was nothing overly interesting or gripping about the plot line. I learned some neat facts about how Bret himself feels about having created Patrick Bateman, which is why it earned one star. I'm usually not this harsh but this was a drag!
