Project S. K. I. E. Book One the S. K. I. E. Series
Reviews

I read this on the request of the author. With that being said, everything is strictly my own opinion. This was a really nice read. Selie (which reminds me of the Seelie Court) is starting fresh at a new school and has to go through what we all do: new places, new faces, new experiences, and classmates disappearing and being experimented on. Okay, maybe she does deal with a little more than what we do when we go off to a new college or school. She goes all Veronica Mars with a little pinch of Nancy Drew and wants to figure out what is going on to her colleagues and friends and how she can stop it. This book does have some pretty neat twists. I kind of have a double-edge sword of an opinion though: I absolutely loved that it was placed in the future and how everything was set up with it; but, sometimes I thought things were a little bit too explained. You have to leave some things up to the imagination of the reader and I felt as if I was being told what to see down to the smallest detail. I know that descriptions are important, and I for one long details, but sometimes too much details can be more harm than good.
