I KNEW it would end that way!!! I NEED BOOK 2!!! Ugh that was so good.

This was enemies to lovers from start to finish, complete with the I-hate-yous. No sappy “we’re in love with each other now” halfway through; the tension & angst was there the entire time.

Tons of misunderstandings here, but it wasn’t AS annoying as it could have been. I was invested the whole way through even though I found some parts eh.

I loved this book. But why did it end with that cliffhanger?!? Need to continue with the second book now!

This book consumed me. So much so I read it in one sitting!!! And considering I have been in major book slump this past year, that is amazing. I will warn you that there is a major cliffy at the end.

Viola has known Travis since he moved in across the street from her and her brother, Drew when she was 10 years old. Both he and Drew being the same age became really good friends which made her the best friend's little sister. Viola is not your typical outgoing type of girl. She would much rather have her nose stuck in a book than go out or you could find her following Drew and Travis around. This bothered her brother but, Travis didn't mind it so much. He and Viola actually became close. 

That is until her 13th birthday when everything changed. That's when Viola found herself hating Travis with a passion. And Travis has no clue why. They continue the next 10-12 years avoiding each other. But when Viola finds herself needing to stay somewhere for 2 weeks for spring break her options are to either stay with her mom and her special person or suck it up and stay with Drew who happens to share a house with none other than Travis himself. 

Choosing the latter, she packs up her stuff and moves in for 2 weeks. Little did she know that a war was about to begin with the one person she can't stand. 

I can't express how much I loved this book. Friends to lovers or enemies to lovers are some of my favorites to read. Kennedy Fox literally keeps you flipping the page or tapping the screen until the end. And that ending!!!! I for one don't mind a cliffy especially when I want more of the characters and I definitely want more of Viola and Travis.

There are some friends that just GET you. When they recommend a book to you, you take that recommendation. You immediately download the book, already assured that you're going to love it. That's exactly what happened to me with This is War. A few of my faves over on bookstagram recommended this book to me, so without much thought I one-clicked and started reading. And, man, were they ever right! I was immediately hooked and devoured this baby in just a few days. (Which is actually really quick for me to finish a book.) I have to say though, daaaaaammmmmmmmmnnnnn, that cliffy was TORTURE! I need book two PRONTO!

Travis isn't your typical bad boy, which is probably why I feel for him so hard. He's actually a sweetheart stuck in a bad boy's body, which just so happens to be my guilty pleasure. So, yeah... this book was totally made for me. ;) Viola, on the other hand, is actually the kind of character I usually hate. The type that's so angry and unwilling to listen to a single word, that she ends up over-reacting and making the wrong choices. I have to say though, Viola ended up really winning me over too. That girl REFUSED to let anyone insult her or bring her down. So even though she may not have made the best decisions at every step of the way, she really stuck up for herself when it was needed, and never became untrue to herself.

I must also mention how HAWT this story was!! Like, Kindle sizzling and hands sweaty, type of hot. I'm all for a steamy novel, though not when the steam overpowers the story. That was not the case at all with this story. There was the perfect amount of steamy scenes to keep this story interesting, sexy, and ultimately unputdownable!

I have no idea who the two minds are behind Kennedy Fox since they apparently want to remain nameless. But let me just say, I WILL be reading everything this duo decides to write. I hope to find out at some point who's behind this adore name since I'm super noisy and the suspense is a bit torturous. But regardless, Kennedy Fox is a new auto-buy author for me! Time to download
