Boomsday A Novel

I love Christopher Buckley's outrageous satires. Boomsday's premise is just absurd and so funny. A young, frustrated blogger proposes that to save the younger generation from insurmountable debts caused by Social Security, baby boomers should voluntarily and patriotically take their own lives. And when the idea starts snowballing, everyone goes crazy. Buckley sends up everyone including politicos, pundits, religious warriors, money makers and hipsters. No one is safe from mockery. It's a really fun read.
