Obviously, this book is not some evolutionary literary masterpiece, but it holds a special place in my heart. I read it first when I was around 10 years old (I had a very high reading level so I didn't think much when reading older level books) however the content is definitely not 10-year-old material but oh well lol. I pulled out my kindle last night and saw this book downloaded and decided to reread it. This sincerely is one of the few books that as I read it I seriously will skip lines and have to go back and read them because I feel like I'm not reading fast enough for my brain to soak up the words. The attachment I have for this book honestly might be an obsession but I could not care less. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a cute/fun/lighthearted/quick read (whatever you want to call it...)

** spoiler alert ** From the first page I had a kind of comfortable feeling with the book. It was very light and the atmosphere in the book was very good. I also really liked the way the book was written and it really kept me glued to the book. But after a few pages the atmosphere changed and you were suddenly many months later and Ella was in the car with her father and you found out that she had been in a serious car accident with her mother and that she had not survived. . The atmosphere really changes, but I didn't really mind that much. The book was interesting but in a slightly different way. Her father's twins, her new home situation and all her scars are just a few of the things Ella has to deal with in the book. I really liked the way this is written about and how she deals with this and it was also very well explained so that you really get sucked into the character and can really empathize with what Ella feels. The only thing that differs from my 'vision' of the book and Ella's is that as a reader I already knew who Cinder was (namely Brain, one of the most famous actors in Hollywood at the time) but Ella did not have a suspicion that Cinder and Brain have something to do with each other, but she has no idea that they are the same people. The fact that you as a reader do know this also creates a certain tension and hope because you really want to know if and when she will notice this. I found the only less positive point about the book that you can see it coming from very far away that Cinder and Ella will fall in love and that even though they break up at a certain moment, they will be together again at the end of the book . However, this also has its positive side that towards the end, where they are still not back together, there is a tension and curiosity because you really want to know how they will eventually come back together and how everything will go again. will be alright. In short, I thought this was a really good book! I'm sure I'll read it again and I'm really looking forward to July 20, the day the 2nd part will be released.

Absolute favorite retelling of the story. The ending was not at all what I expected, but soooo what I wanted! It starts with the ‘classical’ stepmother and stepsisters. But the story changes and there is so much more going on than the classical story. This is going to be a book I’ll reread so so so many times!

"Would you like me to read to you, Ellamara?” If this line hooked you up, you must read the y/a novel "Cinder And Ella" 😌💙 'Cinder And Ella" is a modern Cinderella retelling which is also now one of my favorite reads. You can read the synopsis in the comments. THINGS I LOVE 💙 • The switching pov between the female and the male leads. • The main characters being BOOK LOVERS. 🥺 • Brian's character • Healing process •  Friends to Lovers troph • The depiction of the family bonds • Self-love • Friendship FAVORITE QUOTES 💙 “Holy crap, your voice is sexy!” "Would you like me to read to you, Ellamara?” "The Prince Cinder chooses his Ellamara. I choose you, Ella, and I’m not going to let you be a coward, either. I’m not going to let my fame scare you away. We’re Cinder and Ella, woman! We’re supposed to get our fairy-tale ending!” “These aren’t glass slippers,” Brian said, dangling the gloves in the air, “but if I have to try them on every girl in LA to find my princess, I will.” 💍  💎  💍  💎  💍  💎  💍  💎  💍  💎  💍 To be honest this book totally hooked me up that I am half way through the second book by now. So I fearlessly recommend this sweet sessy book for y'all. Whats the use of being a bookworm if you haven't read this cute story. 😌💙

Cinder & Ella is such a cute book. I read it when I was 11 and I enjoyed reading it. Now I am reading it again. I really love that there are both Ella's and Brian's point of view and the trope is the best. It's so cute book and there aren't too many embarrassing scenes. If you like trope (texting, celebrity x noncelebrity) you should read this book.

*-* Y... Y *-* Nuevo libro de Kelly. (hide spoiler)]

Another modern Cinderella story. But it was completely different from the ones I’ve read before because of what Ella is going trough. The book deals with bullying, depression and loss/grief. I really liked it because it was different and although you kind of know how it ends it was certainly surprising at some points.

Renditions of fairytales can be a little repetitive, but this book was anything but that. I loved the total twist it gave to the cinderella story and imo it's so much better than the original!

When I saw the title, I figured that this would be a re-telling of the story of Cinderella. Now I am a big fan of all things fairytale, (one of my favorite shows on television is Once Upon a Time) especially modern day fairy tales with a twist. I don’t generally rely on reviews to determine if I should read a book, but seeing that this author is fairly new to me I changed my modus operandi. The reviews I read indicated that this was a good read so I took the plunge and I was glad I did. This is a beautiful story of love, acceptance and healing. Be prepared to be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride that will likely stay with you for few a days. It’s funny and entertaining. It had me LOL, smiling, crying and angry. I was especially angered when Ella’s stepsister treated her like a pariah. The tears were as a result of the degradation she suffered at the hands of her peers. What I loved most about this book is the interaction between Cinder aka Brian Oliver and Ella. Their banter was fun. The fact that they never met added to the mystery of their relationship. Here are two persons who have been communicating by internet and IM for three years and were able to develop a friendship that would prove to be as enduring as time. This friendship grew into love that would be life changing for both Cinder and Ella. Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a wonderful read. The characters, the plot and the writing were delightful. Cinder and Ella provides die-hearted readers like me with the perfect tools to escape reality, even if it’s just a temporary fix. If you love the concept of happily ever after and that of being swept off your feet by prince charming, then Cinder and Ella would the perfect read for you. NB: I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

"She was afraid people wouldn't accept her because of her handicap and her scars. People have been so awful to her since her accident that she doesn't believe she's beautiful anymore. She didn't realize that her scars make her even more beautiful to me. They show her strength.

She's been through so much, survived so much, lost so much, and yet when I asked her out she was worried about me. She didn't think people would accept her. She was worried she would hurt my image - be bad for my career. She was afraid she's not good enough for me, but really, it's the other way around. I don't deserve her. She's the strongest, most amazing woman I've ever known.

I came hone from school one day, and he was just gone. There was no note, no phone call, no anything. I just never saw him again.

I grew up without any father at all because my das was out here giving you hugs, and tucking you into bed at night , and loving you like a real daughter instead of me. Talk about having something thrown in your face all the time. How do you think it makes me feel to have to live here and see how happy you all are together?
