After reading Robinson Crusoe, I became a fan of Daniel Defoe. Although this book is considered Historical fiction, I found it fascinating how the plague impacted England. From the spread, the physical conditions of the victim, the response of the community, treatments, economic impact and the devastation. This book is presented as factual and maybe tedious and boring in parts to some people. Don’t expect a light read, this is written as a history book. Great information.

It hits different rn (in 2021), a pandemic going on centuries later and how people handle... it's actually quite similar. liked it.

Its interesting to see the difference between how they handled their own plague and the difference between ours now.
