London Youth, Religion, and Politics is the first comparative book based on research with young ethnic minority Christians and Muslims in Europe. It addresses controversial issues of the integration of Muslim youth by placing them in context with other religious youth, including black Pentecostal Christians. Based on in-depth research with young people in two inner city areas of London, Daniel Nilsson DeHanas finds that young Muslims tend to be morepolitically engaged and civically integrated than other young people. He builds an explanation for why this is the case that is told through a rich narrative of life in London mosques, churches, markets, andstreets.
