Meh. Liked all the characters but found it a bit boring and slow

Ce roman est une poésie, les mots sont tous aussi beau les un que les autres, on est transporté dans un flot de moments de vie écrit de façon la plus logique possible : aussi fluide qu'une pensée.

L'écriture de ce livre m'est difficile à expliquer et pour autant c'est de loin ce que j'ai préféré, je suis tombée amoureuse des maux.

Je ne veux pas romantiser ce roman quand bien même il se veux être un roman d'amour. C'est bien plus que cela, les sujets abordés sont bien trop dur, trop cru, trop *triste*.

j'en ai lu des romans dans ma vie, mais rare sont ceux qui m'accrochent ainsi. une plume poétique. un récit vagabond et effroyablement triste. mais pour autant un récit qui marque son passage sur notre cœur.

Il vogue à travers le temps, l'espace et les pages. Il nous transporte ailleurs, on ne sait où, mais pas ici.

Il m'enlève les mots, mais illumine mon cœur. Mon cœur brille pour lui, les larmes roule sur moi.

4/5⭐️ First off, thank you so much to Penguin Teen for sending me this ARC! I was excited to read this and although it wasn’t as good as I hoped, it was still a solid read. Without spoiling, this book follows two characters who are connected by a strange song that has historical origins. Because of this, the book has both of their POVs as well as the occasional POV of a historical character or historical backstory. Maybe it was the multiple POVs that got me, but I found the story a bit hard to follow and sort of all over the place. It did get better in the second half or so, but overall it was a bit difficult to understand. However, other than that I enjoyed this! The writing in this is honestly beautiful and there were a lot of great quotes. One of the MCs Evan regularly goes to therapy for his panic attacks and there was great discussion around that! Overall, not the best but a solid read! Comes out October 13th!
