The Night Shift
The 1960s was the sum of all its summers. As the decade of light and colour, of joy and excitement, fell into the darkness of its final winter, the youth of the 1960s were growing up and growing weary. On the night shift it was as if the summer never came, the 1960s never happened, yet we lived on its fringes, in its shadows, and finally some of us recognized its one great gift-hope.
