The usual caveats of it is a book of its time. I was loving it until the very end, and then some stuff happened that gave me a bad taste, but I love Dorothy Sayers and Peter Wimsey, and I can't hold a book written almost a hundred years ago to modern standards. I just don't know why some standards were so godawful almost a hundred years ago. Nevertheless... Peter Wimsey and Dorothy Sayers. I'll never stop holding them close to my heart.
