There’s a Charles burnett adaptation but need a 4K criterion release as the quality on YouTube isnt up to par.

Learnt a lot about the rise of the black (American) bourgeoisie and their preoccupations with colorism, marriages of upward mobility and status

I thought this book was going to be good, but I was mistaken. I could never get into it to care what happened to the characters. Very dry and dull.
