The Crooked Path

For the past one-thousand years, the forest-dwelling Arboreans have thrived peacefully, insuring their borders through prowess and negotiation by the Elder Council, and through the vigilance of their magical Woodguard. The Arboreans preserve their culture by dividing the citizenry, permitting those most patient and loving, called the balanced, into positions of authority, while those referred to as untamed are simple laborers and tradesfolk. But now a god-like being has come to their world, something alien and terrible, bringing with it geological and atmospheric upheaval, and even sweeping entire communities from existence. A young untamed named Kai is tasked by the Elders of Arbore, an undertaking that can only be carried out by someone with the instincts to fightto even kill. The inexperienced Kai must learn from his mistakes as he leads a motley group of friends against this being the Elders call the Worldweaver, and they must fight for their lives and for the very world and for everything they hold most precious and dear."
