Earth's End
Reviews

“Well, if my crime is love, then I am indeed guilty.”

(3.5/5) this took me so long to read because I had such a slump from my favourite character's death in the previous book. and what the FUCK was that ending? Elise Kova is masterful at two things: writing heart-wrenching endings and writing romance. like holy fuck, the dialogues between the two main characters had me BLUSHING. THEYRE SO !!!!

The series continues to get better as it continues. I can’t describe the emotions these books evoke in me, but it really is a lovely journey. Kova captures and communicates the feelings of her characters so well, and I am living for it. I’m crying over the ending and immediately downloading the next book. It feels wrong that these books are free with kindle unlimited because of how incredibly good they are.

After being so invested in Air Awakens and Fire Falling, I must admit that Earth’s End was a little bit of a letdown. It picks up with Vhalla going off into Northern territory to save Aldrik’s life which was probably the most exciting thing that happened throughout the book. Pros: • Characters- I was still heavily invested in the characters and their relationships. Cons: • Character Development- If anything, we stepped backwards here. I thought there was so much growth in book 2 from Vhalla and Aldrick, and here they resorted to somewhat childish behavior. • Ending- I mean Aldrick and Vhalla were kind of stupid just thinking they could get away with whatever they wanted and the Emperor was just going to let them, but the way Vhalla handled it was disappointing. • Pace- Compared to the others and just in general, this book was a lot slower. I would say at least half if not more is just leading up to this battle, and the battle was maybe 20 pages. • Morally Grey-Usually I’m a big fan of morally grey characters, but Vhalla just made some bad choice I don’t think she’s even considered morally grey. She realized she was assisting and doing something wrong, and she went through with it anyway? And Aldrick supported it? They kind of lost me there. Although this review is completely negative, I have still been enjoying this series a lot and have been moving through it quickly. I just think this whole book could’ve been 3 more chapters onto the back end of the second book. 3/5 stars.

** spoiler alert ** I still love this series. in this book, Vhalla Yarl still strives to keep herself, and her Prince alive. After they take a dive off a cliff at the end of the last book, Aldrick is barely hanging on when Vhalla wakes, so she goes on a mad dash into the North, defying the Emperor, who would much rather have you killed than let anyone believe that she has any power. After successfully retrieving help for her Prince, Aldrick refuses to let her far from his side, meanwhile the Emperor is waiting for the chance to be rid of Vhalla. Things come to a head after the Final battle. when the gang learns about what the Emperors plan was to finally be rid of Vhalla once and for all... I am so Excited to pick up the next installment of Vhalla's story.

So many twists and turns it feels like a roller coaster. Enjoyed ot very much. Couldn't put it down.

I love this series so much! So excited for the next books, even though this one wasn't as good as the previous ones... I really miss the focus on friendship... this book has a lot of potential there in my opinion. There is friendship, but I wish it was more important and focused on so it could let us see Vhalla in another light! There is very little dialogue that is not heavily focused on Vhalla and Aldrik... It would be nice to discover more about the other characters in my opinion, so hoping for that in the next books! I do love Vhalla's character development though, and how she got to show her intellect in this book! I also loved how certain relationships between Vhalla and the other characters became better and more friendly, I just wish there was a deeper, more realistic bond between her and the people she care about other than Aldrik. Here's hoping that ugly emperor loses his head sometime soon!!!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 The romance... is getting more and more cheesy... but somehow that kind of fits haha! I liked it at some points in the story, but it also sometimes felt unhealthy? And that might be intended...? And that ending... wasn't my favourite, but I loved just reading this book so I'll overlook it for now! Anyway, I am excited to see how the romance will develop, and seriously hoping for the best. The action was a lot of fun too... even though I thought there would be more??? Well, I guess these books really focus more on the romance than the actual action, but this was less than I expected. I still liked it though. And I don't know why... but I keep reading these books in less than 2 days every time!

This series is honestly, so magical. Literally and figuratively. I am loving it. The twist at the end of this book was bloody fantastic and I have already bought the next. Can't believe it!!! Can't believe I haven't spent more of my life reading Elise Kova.

SO GOOD. THE ENDING KILLED ME

I feel like it took me too long to get back to Vhalla's world so I felt a bit disconnected to everyone and everything most of the time. I still like the story and I will always adore Aldrik, but the experience I had while reading it lacked the same intense feelings I had for the first two books. There were a number of scenes that just made me want to stop. Vhalla's thoughts seemed to drag on more than it should have, and instead of relating or empathizing with her, I just couldn't help but yawn. It could have been better :(

This book is so good. I can't get enough of it!

It is no surprise at all that I loved this book & read it in one day as I find this series so addictive, I think it is on its way to be one of my favourite series ever. There has been so much character growth from all our characters that’s why the ending hurt so much & I will definitely be reading the next book ASAP once I have it.

Really 3 1/2 stars. The middle was a little too slow to keep my attention. But the end! Oh my goodness!
