Three dead people return to torment the living: Gudrun Bilcher, a student who committed suicide in her bath, Karin Frenzel, a hardened widow stifled by a tyrannical mother, and Edgar Gstranz, a champion skier who died in a car accident. In the middle of the snowy Austrian alps, the small pension Rose des Alpes is theatre for a dance of death.
