Disillusioned by the government running the country he loves, Navy SEAL Angelo Cortez leaves the only job he knew to join the civilian world working for Brotherhood Protectors as they staff the Hawaiian branch of Hank Patterson’s brain child. His first assignment literally lands in his lap when a local descendent of an Hawaiian king slips from a rocky ledge as she guides a tour group at a local waterfall. Leilani is desperately working multiple jobs to earn enough money to rebuild the business her family had owned and operated for over 100 years. Fires decimated buildings and inventory, but not her spirit. Now big businesses want to claim the real estate when natives can no longer make a living on their own property. Some big businesses are more aggressive in their tactics to force out locals. Angelo and Leilani navigate turbulent waters while trying to save her family heritage and expose the source of its sabotage. Int the process, they reveal a growing attraction neither anticipated and neither may survive to take it to the next level.

Brotherhood Protectors has branched out to the Pacific. The office may not officially be open for business yet but that doesn't stop the new crew finding someone in need of their special kind of help!

Leilani is the type of heroine I love. She is resourceful and mentally and emotionally tough, has a core of steel, a heart full of love and streak of stubborn a mile wide! She loves her island, her people and her neighbours. She wants to show people how beautiful her home is but not at the expense of damaging it with lots of new hotels and resorts.

Angel is the type of protective male we love reading about. He may be tough, a protector and a bada$$ but he also is gentle with those who need it and actually knows when he needs to ask for help. He is most definitely a man who thinks before he acts but with Leilani, he's just heart-first and falls for her quickly.

Angela and his team work so well together and they seamlessly switch from a bunch of friends on holiday to the tight knit, well-rehearsed fighting machine. They know each others strengths and weaknesses and have each other backs.

There were plenty of twists and turns and just when I had things sussed, and thought things were tied up with a bow - along came another snafu! Can't wait to meet the other guys and see just who sets their world aflame!
