OOOh a 2nd chance at love for Buck and Angela! Graham Buckner, AKA Buck, fled medical school and his love for Angela when his former gang came after him. He knew the military would keep him safe but staying away from Angela was the only way to keep her safe. On a mission in Sudan he can't believe he stumbles across Angela who is now working with Doctors without Borders. But she is still as headstrong and heart-tender as ever and doesn't want to leave behind those people who now look to her for aid. Evil warlords, scared villagers and a feisty elderly couple who come to their aid make this a fab romp through Africa. I enjoyed the tension between Buck and Angela and the slow thaw around Angela's heart was in keeping with her protecting her heart, although it does rapidly thaw as the book progresses!
