The Archmage

My first thoughts while 50 pages in was that this is almost a cozy traditional fantasy version of Mistborn. Both have elements of being on the run, overrunning the solitary man in power, and a girl who doesn't know her potential. I loved Sil's story and can't wait to read on more. The author even threw me for a loop with a plot twist 75% in I had not even a hunch was even a possibility. If you want a cozy quick fantasy read with battles and a slow burn that I'm sure will be the most satisfying by the time we're given it, I recommend this book whole heartedly.
