Forever Mine

Forever Mine

Erin Nicholas2017
Maya Goodwin doesn't believe in holding back. Ever. As a cop, she never hesitated to throw herself into harm's way to save someone. Even after an injury on the job forces her to retire, she's not afraid to keep risking it all to get the life she wants. With a new career teaching martial arts to kids already underway, she's looking forward to the future - and taking a chance on the unbelievably hot Dr. Alex Nolan. Maya - daring and spontaneous - is the exact opposite of what Alex always thought he wanted. But when a nine-year-old daughter he never knew existed shows up on his doorstep, Maya is the one who helps them hold it together. With love on the line, will the guy who's always played it safe be willing to take the biggest risk of all?

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review Maya Goodwin is a risk-taker, spontaneous, and a geek at heart. Due to an injury, she cannot work as a cop anymore. Instead, she teaches martial arts to kids. On the other hand, Alex Nolan is the complete opposite. Both meet when Alex finds out he has a daughter and the classes Maya teaches is a way to connect him and his daughter. The two together had great chemistry despite the differences in personality. They seem to compliment each other well. I liked that Maya was not a pushover while Alex took everything in stride while trying to establish a relationship with his daughter. Although this was the second novel of the Opposites Attract series, I was not at all puzzled. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to those who like a strong female character and a male character who tries his best to be the best father he could be. It was also very informative about hemophiliacs. For more of my reviews, please visit my blog: https://ilovereading2016.wordpress.com

This is book number two and I have to admit I have not read the previous book or even any other books by Erin Nicholas but I plan on reading more of her books in the near future. I love Maya and Alex. This book is cute and geeky with talk of superheroes and cosplay. I very much enjoyed this book. It is well written and kept me reading. Actually, it kept me staying up later than I should of because I just didn't want to put this one down.
