one of my fav short stories. just amazing. it depicts the innocence of a little boy in such a playful and funny way - and the twist in the tale always makes me melt. the way the little boy cares about the father and tries to keep his feelings into considerations is also so heartwarming. the last sentence sums up childhood quite well.
