Thanks to Reylos, Darklinas, and Adam Driver fans, I dipped into the Star Wars fanbase after Star Wars and Shadow and Bone Twitter went into a frenzied overdrive after fans spotted similarities between General Kirigan/The Darkling & Alina Starkov's relationship and Kylo Ren/Ben Solo & Rey's. I honestly never cared about Star Wars and only remembered how much the new movies were hated, but thanks to the hype between fandoms I decided to see for myself the similarities between those two abovementioned couples, and I gotta agree with the fans: there's a lot of similarties between those two! This is a short comic by Marvel of their anti-hero and his story. I usually don't read comics (I have nothing against them, they're just not the type of medium I'd usually read) but Charles Soule made sure he covered Kylo's origin story with enough detail to keep me interested with Will Sliney's alluring artistry. Shout out to Clayton Crain for the awesome cover! Soule covers the backstory of The Knights of Ren along with two of Kylo's former classmates that's easily understandable for those who are new to this franchise, which is the same category I'm under. Also doesn't hurt to see they kept Adam Driver's likeness for Kylo's physique. Overall I'll give it 4 stars; Its short of 5 only because I felt like his betrayal/turn to the dark side wasn't understandable. Is it really because he couldn't use his full powers? Or do I need to start from the beginning of this franchise to understand the root cause of his darkness?
