Blame It on the Tequila

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this especially the rockstar found family of this. I loved how easily the FMC has always been friends with and accepted by the band (I’ve just read a few too many rockstar romances where it’s dislike by all to lovers or “outsider”). I really liked the FMC as a character with her quiet depth of character. The actual romance was great with a she fell first but he fell harder. The dual timeline I felt was interspersed well and didn’t spend too much time in the past. 

I felt the twist of her past was a little random and extreme. And also a bit unresolved. Overall it’s fine, it doesn’t mess with too much but I felt like the last 10% went by way too fast when an event like that could really mess someone up.

I love trying a new to me Author! Fiona Cole, you also gave me one of my favorite kind of stories! This story has so much and more. Rockers, Second Chance, Best Friend Romance, Dark, Forbidden! This was such a slow burn that it was giving me hot flashes, or maybe that’s just the change of life? I don’t want to say much because I’m afraid I’ll give it all away. I could just gush over and over about this story.

a second chance rockstar romance to die for

i typically do not enjoy rockstar romances, i usually avoid them bc i just haven’t found one that i liked very much. I didn’t know that this was a rockstar plot going into it, I just knew i wanted to read whatever Fiona Cole put out next after recently finishing the voyeur series. I am so glad i didn’t skip this one because it was INCREDIBLE. I love second chance romances, and that was definitely more of a defining theme here than the rockstar aspect. i loved the history not only between the two main characters, but all the bandmates as well, it was such a sweet reunion.

i loved the way the mystery of their past unfolded throughout the book, showing why they each had their reservations about how this rekindled relationship would turn out. it was SO hot, so sweet, can’t recommend enough!

I loved Nova and Parker!😍🤩🔥 I wanted to read their story since the previous book and I totally loved it. It’s steamy, with a bit of forbidden drama and a lot of rockstars. I loved the relationship between Nova and all of the guys, they knew each other since high school so they were like a family.

Nova and Parker were amazing, they were step siblings at some point but they were attracted to each other from the beginning and I really enjoyed reading between their present and past. In the past they used to be together a lot, Nova was always helping Parker and the band with their songs and I loved the banter between all of them. Parker and Nova tried to fight their attraction because of their parents’ relationship but they never felt like siblings so it was hard for them to not act on their feelings. At some point something happened that broke them apart and five years letter they reunite.

Parker and the guys are still in the band and Nova is kind of an instagram influencer with her pictures and songwriting. She’s very private thanks to something that happened in her past so she never shows her face in her social media. Thanks to her friend Rae, Parker sees Nova again through a screen and he wants to keep in touch after all the time they didn’t talk. Nova is reluctant at first and after a job opportunity she’s thrown again into Parker’s world. 

At first Nova didn’t want to be near Parker but their chemistry was always there so they couldn’t stay away from each other. They were both grown up so they’re scenes were really steamy and they both knew what they wanted. Nova had a wild side and thanks to Parker she was able to act on her deepest desires and he loved that side of her.

The story was very addictive, the characters were wonderful and their scenes together were the best, especially the sexy ones. Next is Rae’s book and I can’t wait to see what happens with her and Austin.
