West Highland Tales

In Highland households, the Seanachie, or bard in the retinue of every chief, told tales that were passed on from one generation to the next. This is a selection of tales from Deirdre of the Sorrows showing the influence of Irish tradition, to ghost stories, love stories and tales of warriors.
