The Dragon and the Raven Or the Days of King Alfred

I don't usually rate books two stars. I usually like Henty, too. But I just couldn't stand this one. I hate character stereotypes and... this book is full of them. Gah. 'Gary Stus' everywhere. Help me. The historical content was ok, but somewhat overwhelming considering this was supposed to be fiction.
