Beautiful Nightmare Dark Dream duet #2
Reviews

My Review (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review)
Beautiful Nightmare is the conclusion to the "Dark Dream Duet" and this is the continuation of our story that is complex dealing with our leading hero and heroine "Tiernan and Bianca" I was really curious to see where this one would deal with especially with some of the reveals that the first book "Dangerous Temptation" dealt with. I honestly still don't know how I fully feel about this duet lol I have SO many mixed feelings. While I was sucked completely into this duet and everything, and I loved the plot, the PLOT totally made this story work. However, the romance was lacking in this duet. Because I am sorry if the only time you are together, you are just having sex, the relationship is not going to quite sing to me. I need much more being portrayed and I understand the circumstances, I just was hoping we would see much more happening between them but sex just doesn't fix issues and that is kinda how this relationship felt to me. Now maybe I am blowing it out of proportion, but that is the impression I got from this story.
Now as for the plot, that was so intriguing. All the secrets left and right that are blended in here, and not knowing who is the true villain or hero was quite deep and really left me entrenched and hooked all the way through the story. And seeing our hero just fall for Bianca's little brother was so charming. I will say that overall I found this duet to be quite fun to read, despite the issues I had for it. And looking forward to explaining the other duet that this author has written.

I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts and opinions are my own. This is the book I’ve been hopelessly waiting for. My plan from the very beginning was to take this book as slowly as I possibly could. I’m glad I did it that way. I knew not if, but when I had the chance to speed read this book, I would feel so disappointed with how quickly it ended. The twists, turns and emotions really kept me on my toes the entire time. This book, and even book one, are books you can read in one sitting with no problem. I really don’t know how Giana Darling does it, but her words are so carefully thought out. And what I mean by that is, you can tell that every single word that she uses in her books was meticulously picked for a very specific reason. She writes in this beautifully lyrical way that just sucks you right into her stories. Overall I really enjoyed this book. The dynamic between the Morellis and the Constantines is so tumultuous and is always ready to be set on fire. I loved getting to know each of the families on a different level. I really think I’d prefer the Morellis or the Constantines, they just hit differently. Tiernan and Bianca are two main characters that I will never forget. They will live rent free in my mind. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3.5

"Whoever would have guessed that my nightmare would be the best dream I'd never thought to hope for." Beautiful Nightmare continues right where the first book left off. While the first book was on the slower side, this book kicked it up a notch with its action, story-telling, character growth, mystery, suspense, and more! "I’ve made you bleed since the moment I met you, but now I’m bleeding without you." Speaking of character growth, the way that Bianca starting shedding her younger persona into that of a woman, even at her age, spoke volumes of the author's writing. In the first book we see a naive Bianca, but in this sequel, we see a scheming mastermind that will throw many curveballs no one is prepared for. "He was this contradiction only my heart could decipher. A lovely monster. A beautiful nightmare." As we know, Tiernan Morelli is a villain through and through. His hands have seen more blood than a hospital blood bank. He's never cared for anything--he was created to basically be a robot--until Bianca and her brother Brandon. The change that Tiernan did from the first book to this one is astronomical. He would do absolutely anything and everything for Bianca. "I was raised in violence and I love to speak its language. Would you like to see how fluent I am in blood and fury?" One thing that always gets me weak in the knees is when a villain like Tiernan Morelli--someone who bows down to no one--gets on his knees for the woman he loves and worships her in the best way possible. 😏 "You want to see me beg for your forgiveness, Bianca? I'll do it on my knees between your thighs and by the time I'm through with you, you won't remember anything but pleasure." I adored the relationship that Brandon has with Tiernan and with The Gentleman. Brandon's admiration for Tiernan is something else. This little guy will grip your heart until you cry your eyes out. I would have loved to see more interactions between him and "Tiernanny", but the little I got soothed my heart. "I knew you guys would end up together, you know. The heroes always end up together in the comic books." Overall, Beautiful Nightmare is a page-turning and stunning conclusion to the Dark Dreams duet and a wonderful addition to the Midnight Dynasty universe. "I've done countless things in my life that I should not have done, but loving you is the best mistake I ever made."

"You want to see me beg for your forgiveness, Bianca? I'll do it on my knees between your thighs and by the time I'm through with you, you won't remember anything but pleasure. Do you want me to carve your fucking name into my chest to prove to you that I am mad for you? Lost to you? Nothing will ever fucking do again except for you?”

“I'm hunting more than just your body, now. I'm a greedy man and I won't stop until I have your soul."
Tiernan Morelli, just take my soul.
