Grounding for the Metaphysics of Morals ; With, On a Supposed Right to Lie Because of Philanthropic Concerns
This is an expanded edition of James Ellington's translation of Kant's essay, in which Kant replies to one of the standard objections to his moral theory as presented in the main text: that it requires us to tell the truth even in the face of harmful consequences.

A short book that makes me feel pretty acquainted with Kant — without feeling the need to read everything he’s written.

One of my professors in college told me that if Kant were wrong, he would jump off a building. Because my professor has a wife and children and might somehow see this review, I'm going to say that Kant is right and give this five stars.
