Le Horla is a fantastic short story by Maupassant written in 1887. This is one of the last fantastic stories Maupassant wrote. The Horla is in the form of an unfinished diary that raises fears that its owner may have gone mad. The Horla marks the first signs of the madness of its author, Guy de Maupassant, who died 3 years later, in a paranoia and total madness.
