a strange, meandering and disjointed plot that left me feeling not necessarily unsatisfied but definitely a bit confused. natalie as a main character is intriguing but vague in a way which makes her slippery to get a hold of, too much for my taste.

... I need to let this stew a bit before I can review it. EDIT: This gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐ based on the CAWPILES* scoring criteria: C- characters: 8 A - atmosphere: 9 W - writing/style: 9 P - plot: 7 I - intrigue: 9 L - logic: 6 E - enjoyment: 7 8+9+9+7+9+6+7 = 55 55/7 = 7.9 ==> ⭐⭐⭐⭐ *NOTE: C- characters A - atmosphere W - writing/style P - plot I - intrigue L - logic E - enjoyment You rate each topic 0-10 0-3 = very poor 4-6 = mediocre 7-9 = really good 10 = outstanding Then you average the 7 individual ratings to get the overall x out of 10 rating for the book Once you've done that, you can convert the overall rating into the star rating 0-2.2 = ⭐ 2.3-4.5 = ⭐⭐ 4.6-6.9 = ⭐⭐⭐ 7.0-8.9 = ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 9.0-10 = ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well, thank God that's over.
