Dūr-Katlimmu 2008 and Beyond
This book is the result of an International Colloquium held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the excavation of Tall èeh Hamad, October 6-8, 2008, at the site itself to incorporate the genius loci It offers a variety of papers concerned with rural, environmental as well as historic geographical aspects of Assyria as the title of the Colloquium was "Rural Assyria (1350-500 BC)", e.g Caubet/Poplin, Charpin, Durand, Fales, Knhne, Masetti-Rouault, Reculeau Beyond that it presents studies on unpublished texts and materials from Dur-Katlimmu as well as Tabetu, e.g Fiigert, Kreppner/Hornig, Pucci, Radner, Shibata, and further reflections on published matters, e.g Chambon/Kreppner, Freydank, Muller-Kessler, Tourtet As it is, the volume is a forum for provincial issues of Upper Mesopotamia during the second and first millennia The participants of the Colloquium felt that these issues deserve a special voice which the new series Studia Chaburensia intends to be but chronologically unlimited.
