The kiss quotient
Reviews

Cuteee

3 stars!!
The immaturity of the characters got to me slightly in this book. I will continue the series to see if they mature some.

I've reread this book so many times and yet it never gets boring.
Michael and Stella are amazing characters. I really liked seeing them get to know each other and doing things together.
I liked seeing Michael's family, but I thought that they could have been shown in a bit more detail, like all of Michael's sisters.
I really hope that one day I'll find another book like this that will be just as good.

Everyone should read this book, just to see a glimpse at what it’s like to be neurodivergent. It’s hard for neurotypical people to understand sometimes and maybe this will help.
Wow, I love this book! As someone who is neurodivergent this healed me. Thank you Helen Hoang for making this book and trying to end the stigma. I related to Stella. I cried throughout this book.
Love how the author wrote about overstimulation and how it affects neurodivergent people.
Scenes in this book hit me hard.
Chapter 11, page 95: “I started playing before I could speak.” He arched his eyebrows. Apparently, in addition to being his dream woman, she was also Mozart. “That’s not as impressive as it sounds”, she said with a wry lift of her lips. “I was a late speaker.”
⬆️ This right here; yep.🥹
I could go on and on, just read the book.
Oh and Michael Phan is the perfect book boyfriend.

This was such a sexy, endearing, funny, and heartwarming love story!! The characters were so cute but flawed with their own insecurities it made me want to shake them!! They were real and relatable I couldn’t put it down!!

To be honest I don't think I would have picked this book up if I wasn't curious on thinking it'd be like Chemistry another "math sort of love story." After all the heavier kind of books, I have been reading lately it was at least refreshing to read this kind of story. I love the idea of showing an autistic person falling in love and I liked reading's Stella's point of view.

Finished this in a day!! the ending was ok but the characters and plot was exquisite. It also the first book I’ve ever read that discuss autism and it definitely opened my eyes more about types of autism and how they cope with it. Great read.

Probably wouldn’t have picked this up if it wasn’t a blind date with a book, but it was really cute

** spoiler alert ** This book is very cute and sweet, but I didn’t enjoy the ending. I don’t want to say it felt rushed, but it was very cliche while the rest of the book didn’t feel that way. I did really like that Stella has Aspergers and that Michael is Vietnamese. Diversity is always a plus in my book. Also, the love scene was great. It didn’t feel out of place at all, and it flowed pretty naturally.

super cute and fun! I loved the Vietnamese culture tied in with this and how the main character had Aspergers. the two leads were so easy to love and the story so heavily revolves around them i was consuming in everything and loving it. definitely a quick, fun, and cute read, will definitely be checking out more from Helen Hoang!

It was cheesy, and cute. Total accidental soft porn. I was looking for something light and this was it!

Soooo disappointed. The clichés were bearable but there were some very unbearable gender roles. Plus the smut was not good.

really loved this book made me squeal on my bed so much also love to see a rich autistic fl lead p.s I've read two books with the mcs working of something related to economics I'm starting to think if I should choose that as my career path 😭

3.5

LOVED it. Could not put it down. While this book is a romance with sex and a delightful lack of euphemisms, it's also about consent and respect. Michael is outraged at the treatment Stella has had by other men. He's not jealous — he's genuinely concerned for her. Besides the actual sex and foreplay there's tons of cuddling and just basic coupling that a lot of romances I've read seem to skip over. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2018/comm...

“When you love someone, Michael, you fight for them in every way you know how.“

3.75 I liked this book! It was a light, easy read. I wasn't expecting much at the first few chapters, but it does get better. It's so cute, and I like it! It was a wholesome story, and I loved reading these kind of pure (but steamy) books. I loved reading the romance unfold through Stella's POV. It helped me understand how people with autism live in the world. The characters felt real which made the story feel genuine. I just wished there was more of Stella's life because we saw Michael's family multiple times, but we only really got a glimpse of Stella's circle before Michael. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this for a cute fast read! It's definitely worth it.

Really 3.5. Took away .5 star because of the continual misapprehensions between the couple involved in the romance. Otherwise it was a fine, entertaining read.

This is both a feel good and steamy romance! Again, I went into this blind not really knowing much about it apart from the fact that it had an autistic main character. I loved Stella as a main character and I loved see how passionate she was about her job. She was just a really lovable character. I would have liked to see her interactions with a friend/friends (or does she not have friends? Did I miss that detail?) Michael, on the other hand, took a while for me to get into. I don’t hate him but I don’t love him either. I loved meeting his family and his sisters. **i thought the father storyline was a bit unnecessary too** 4 STARS

It was so cute and wholesome they’re so adorable and fit for each other. I love both characters, and was sad when the book ended.

It's a great, interesting story with amazing representation. Too bad I didn't fall in love with any of the characters

No words, just love! This character driven story is so beautifully written.

with the wedding date and now this one, suffice to say that i learned the important lesson that my taste in romance books differ greatly from r gay. i can trust her other recommendations but big ass nah if it's romance. i have so many issues with this book. i keep trying to find small merit hidden somewhere, to see wtf people is on when they raves about it so much but until the end, unfortunately it was just a big flat same old recycled stuff. also like the romance was so lacking of genuine attractions. i just don't feel them 90% of the time. in short, meh.

★☆ // i was initially into this thinking that it would be a quirky, new adult book and it did start as something pretty interesting. but then it got a bit muddled in the middle then ultimately sputtered out with typical romcom-y resolutions. there were so many things that could have been discussed regarding Stella—a woman with Asperger’s and how she navigates an emotion-filled and oftentimes irrational field of love when her brain and life follows rules and logic down to a tee. there was Michael who is an escort—a considered taboo profession that is frowned upon by the society, which could have been used to discuss filial piety in Asian households. somehow these huge chunks of what make them interesting characters and what should complete the story are relegated to the the background as some sort of minor obstacles in love that could apparently be solved by... courting? what. there’s just so much potential but obviously this writer was not interested in the economics of these circumstances. the end result is a letdown, and frankly i want my hours back. ”This crusade to fix herself was ending right now. She wasn't broken. She saw and interacted with the world in a different way, but that was her. She could change her actions, change her words, change her appearance, but she couldn't change the root of herself. At her core, she would always be autistic. People called it a disorder, but it didn't feel like one. To her, it was simply the way she was.”
Highlights

“There was something novel and wonderful about being in a crowd and not feeling alone”

Everything about him pleased her. Not just his looks, but his patience and his kindness. He was good. He was an obsession waiting to happen.

“My Stella”
I’m a sucker for pet names and “My Stella” is doing things to me 🥺

“ I better be your boyfriend. Since I’m asking you to marry me in three months.” Stella’s jaw dropped as shock washed over her in waves that alternated between hot and cold. “Why are you telling me this?” A small smile played on his lips as he darted a quick glance her way before focusing on the road again. “Because you don’t like surprises, and I figured you’d need time to get used to the idea.”
Can I have a Micheal please? Just someone who accepts you for who you are, with all you’re little quirks

“She brought their lips together and kissed him like he was oxygen and she was short on air.”

After an awkward pause, he asked, “Will you have dinner with me tonight?” Her foolish heart leapt at the thought of seeing him again, but she forced it into submission. She didn’t understand why he was doing any of this, didn’t trust it. “No.” There was a long silence before he said, “Good. I like a challenge.” “I’m not trying to challenge you.” “I know you’re not. You’re trying to get over me, which is worse.” “Michael . . .” “I have stuff to do. Talk to you later. Miss you.” The call disconnected.

“I still like mine best.” She put a spoonful of mint chocolate chip in her mouth. The complex combination of vanilla and mint exploded on her palate. Bits of chocolate crunched between her teeth. Perfection. “Let me try it.” She held her bowl out toward him, but he didn’t put his spoon in it. He trailed his fingers over her jaw as he tipped her head back and sealed his lips over hers. His tongue speared into her mouth, and the salt of him mixed with the flavor of the ice cream. She didn’t know if she was mortified, shocked, aroused, or all three.
Oh, hello 😳

She tightened her grip, and he squeezed her back. Palm to palm, two lonely halves found comfort together.

"If you can't stand being with a woman who's more successful than you, then leave her alone. She's better off without you. If yobu actually love her, then know the value of that love and make it a promise. That is the only thing she needs from you."

Stella said nothing. Michael was mint chocolate chip for her. She could try other flavors, but he'd always be her favorite.

You want her to be with someone driven and career-focused, someone who can take care of her. You don't seem to realize she's driven enough on her own, and she doesn't need someone to take care of her financially.

"Promise you won't be hiring more escorts after this." "NO more escorts. I promise." There was only one escort she wanted.

Michael was mint chocolate chip for her. She could try other flavors, but he’d always be her favorite.

CIS Lana. "As your practice boyfriend, shouldn't I be here? It's getting late.”
