Anne Hereford

Mrs. Henry Wood (the pen-name of Ellen Wood) was one of the best-selling authors of the late 19th century. She became famous for her novel "East Lynne" (1861) and wrote more than thirty additional novels as well as short stories, most of which contain elements of mystery and suspense. She also edited the famous "Argosy" magazine from 1867 until her death.
