In response to the poor economic climate in the United States in 2011 and their small retirement funds, longtime academic colleagues and friends, Richard David and Stephen Hogetts decided to go into business together. This case study tracks the formation and development of the company that they founded, DHR Construction. Especially of interest is their developing business strategy and how it came to affect their human resource management.
