Fun but missing the usual momentum

While I'm still interested in the series, Hidden felt a little too Dresdeny for me - I hate to say derivative (isn't everything?), so maybe the word is familiar. Versus felt a little too much like Harry, more so than in any other of the series. Hidden also felt more like a filler novel than I cared for. I have hopes that the next one will have more momentum than this one - which felt like "let's bring Anne back into the fold (?) and introduce Richard for reals." I hate to give this one three stars, but it didn't live up to the expectations I have for Jacka, the rest of the series is just so much fun. So, while the series is still tops for fun, this addition felt a little rushed and lacking.
