Oh, I just love when Kate Meader released another hilarious yet romantic book. And she did with Hooked On You. I know every reader was definitely waiting for the broody yet sexy Highlander, Bren St James, and the free-spirited yet beautiful Violet to hook up and begin their story. Well, their story definitely begins and it is definitely a journey to read along. The broody Highlander Bren St James definitely has a terrible past but he is overcoming it. We get a preview of his past and it is definitely sad and dark how he was before. But I definitely give him admiration when he decided to change his self and be better. It takes a lot to change oneself but it is best when you decides to do it for your self. And he is. His little girls notice too that they get to spend some time with him which is fantastic news but it also puts a strain on him since he will need a nanny to watch his children. And gets who get to be the nanny? That’s right, it’s Violetbut it definitely brought some challenges. Violet is beautiful and intelligent woman that she knew right away that her so called sperm donor was not worth her time whatsoever. But things changed when she discover she had breast cancer that she decided to live a free-spirited life which she decided to input with her sisters since they are in the need of it. Some may say that she reckless or too carefree but she is not and that is something Bren St James learn when she starts watching his children. At first, they struggle to work with each other since Bren St James is a little judging of Violet. So you will see some sparks argument with each other. But it is too entertaining to read that you will get some laugh in it. Over time, Bren St James realizes how lovely and sweet Violet is. It’s just she only share it with people who she loves. They get to build their friendship but they also get closer too. Their love scenes are burning hot that you're definitely going to blush of how hot they are together. Nothing is ever easy when you are in a relationship. It’s going to take some time and commitment. And that’s what going to take with Bren St James and Violet. They may be some fired up but it’s all good. Hooked by You will bring so much laughter that you will be entertained all day while reading. It will also bring some hot scenes that you want Violet or Bren St James for yourself. Five Star!

I've been gleefully awaiting the simmering romance between Violet Vasquez and Bren St. James, seen in little glimpses throughout the Chicago Rebels Series, and huzzah what a pay-off! After reluctantly accepting the challenge laid forth in the will of the dead father she never met with the sister's she never even knew she had, Violet has increasingly grown to love her new family and friends, however much it scares her. Still planning on leaving Chicago after the Rebels end their season, Violet isn't expecting to finally get her shot with the grumpy, sexy Bren St. James. A year sober and suddenly gaining full custody of his two daughters while also taking the Rebels to finals, Bren needs help. He's reluctant to let Violet take on the duties of a full-time nanny because he wants her, badly. After seeing how wonderful Violet is with his girls, he puts his feelings aside, but some feelings are too much to keep hidden for long, consequences be damned. I loved the tension between these two characters. Both have their baggage but the story never went full blown angst-y, which I loved. This is also the first time I've ever a book with described sex scenes that included a woman who's had a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. What a lovely, sensual, and IMPORTANT thing to see on the page. How many women will this resonate with? Countless. Having Bren see Violet as complete in her body as it is was absolutely fantastic and hot as hell. Definitely add this to your TBR pile if you haven't already.
