this is a case of: this book just wasn't for me. and that's okay! I loved the author's debut novel, Running with Lions, so this was an immediate purchase for me. 75 pages into it, though, I still wasn't feeling it. It just feels like it's trying too hard to be relatable. and I'm really not a fan of frequent pop culture references in books. Like I said, a case of "it's not you, it's me."
