Overall, I think the content of this book is great (5/5) but the enjoyment reading (listening) was meh. It feels like the topics and guidance the book describes is too broad without a really good anchor to tie it all together in a story. It touches upon empathy, negotiation, and management without going deep in either of these topics. Even the summary feels long winded, it's hard to summarize the key points of this book because they are hard to really pinpoint. The guidelines for communicating and "winning people over" are good. It's a long list of dos and donts when communicating. The TLDR: * Don't criticize, condemn, or complain * Do talk about the good * Do connect with core desires and noble beliefs * Do take interest in others * Do smile * Do use names and use them well * Do listen * Do make the conversation about the other person * Do leave the other person a little better afterwards * Don't argue * Don't say "you're wrong" * Do admin mistakes quickly and confidently * Do be friendly * Don't take the credit, surrender it * Do engage with empathy * Do motivate with a challenge * Do make praises public, prompt, and specific * Do be sincere and empathetic * Do consider & match the benefits of the other person If you're looking for a management book, read High Output Management or From Good to Great. If you're looking for a negotiation book, read Never Slpit the Difference. Detailed Summary: https://www.grahammann.net/book-notes...

This was good overall, all points in the book I already knew so this was more of a good reminder. I think this is a good read for everyone and made some good points about attitude and behavior in social media. I think this is insightful overall.
