Ian Colquhoun recounts the Jacobite uprising of 1745-1746 using a fictitious character, Jack Cameron, as his hero. Cameron is a Scottish soldier commanding one of the Irish companies attached to the Jacobite army. Complementing the story are notes by the author, along with historical corrections and a glossary of the Jacobite wars.
