I wanted something light and humorous. I'm the Vampire was certainly light although lacking in the humorous, witty banter department. Aside from having a terrible title, it was alright. It fit the bill of something mindless yet entertaining which was what I was looking for at that moment. Still, I almost rounded up to three stars, but there were just too many holes in the story. That would mainly be due to how sloppy the word building was. Things outright contradicted themselves multiple times. I liked how the mythology drew from Celtic lore rather than the standard Romanian/Dracula lore. But that was not developed enough. The elements of the plot were a little on the sloppy side, but the character development was poorly done. The whole relationship of Jessica and her ex's girlfriend seemed like it was thrown in after the fact and never made sense or fit with the rest of the story. The romance angle was ok. The soulmate thing is always a bit of a troupe but cute. Finally, this is just a personal view, but the main character never seemed like a Jessica. Since it was told in first person, the few times someone would say her name, I got confused trying to remember who Jessica was. Oh well, that is what I get for reading something with such a terrible title!
