STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND PICK UP THIS BOOK! This book still has me pining over it. I finished this book on July 30th and I still don't know how to word this review. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about this book is so perfect. The second I started reading this book I knew I wasn't going to be able to put it down until I stopped. It continues to consume my thoughts. I want and need more of Nova (Jonathan) and Lila right now! They are such a great couple and this story is filled with tons of emotion, angst and heartache. Nova is Lila’s armor and he wouldn't let anyone hurt her in any way. He is her savior and she is his too. They have always been constants in each other’s lives and are always there for one another. The chemistry that these two have is undeniable and explosive. With many layers and depth you will be sucked in at the first chapter. I truly believe that this is Giana Darling’s best work so far! Though Daddy Zeus and LouLou still reign supreme as my absolute favorites. This series is such an enrapturing quality of MC romance. There are so many things going on with each of these couples and they all go through their own battles, but they mold and fit so well with each other. All of the characters are interesting, well written and thought out. These are the kinds of MC romance books I need in my life! GIVE ME MORE. I cannot wait to add this book to my bookshelf of favorite reads of 2020 so far. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Just like my first time around, listening to this book on audio was AMAZING. This book never fails to give me so many feels and emotions. I cannot express my never ending love for Lila and Nova. This is my first time listening to a book narrated by Aiden Snow and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and I thought they did such a great job bringing these characters to life. I will end this short review by saying you just have to listen to this audio, especially if you love this series. Totally worth it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Original Review: I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND PICK UP THIS BOOK! ** spoiler alert ** 5 Stars! 5 awesome amazing stars ✨ Hi! BookLovers, Oh Jesus—who’s excited for Nova & Lila’s romance? That’s right we all are. I mean come on, who wouldn’t love The Fallen Mc’s Romance right? All these big muscles panties dropping melting swooning Alpha Romance is driving is women crazy. I know, I know. • Nova • All those tattoos, filthy mouth, good looking, possessive—argh! I can’t get over it. I can’t move on—not yet. Not even close. I’m gonna read this book again and definitely gonna put this on my favorite books of the year. • Lila • Strong head, Independent woman will do anything everything for her family. For her loves one. Wouldn’t turn her back even with knife on her throat. I love her loyalty although I was kinda pissed that she was still with Jake knowing she doesn’t love him. It was heartbreaking-loving-loyalty that makes me love this series so much and I’ve read every single one of it and this one? Inked In Lies is definitely one of my favorite. Go head BookLovers, I Highly Recommended this :)

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Inked In Lies is the fifth installment in the "Fallen Men" series and its a fantastic installment, this was a easy five star read for me. I adored everything about this story. I wasn't sure what I was quite expecting, I just knew after reading this author that she would tear me apart and sideways before putting everything back together again and I can tell you that this one just might be my favorite of the series overall. I mean each installment is special in their own right, and I am not sure how this holds up to King's story but somehow this one won my heart instantly and there isn't really any taboo topics that deal with this couple so that is something I think that was special....unlike the other books in the series, while there is a sense of the "unreachable" in this book, this is a story that I think many will find is touchable in an easier way than some of the other books in the series. This is a couple that we have seen in previous books and so happy to see the full breadth of their story and seeing what this couple is made of. Inked In Lies is a stunning portrayal that will captivate hearts and a story that features: Nova-An artist, the bad boy, likes to test limits, infamous tattooist, and a brother of the Fallen MC. Protective, doesn't find himself worthy of Lila or the family he was born into. Lila -daughter of a drug lord, lover of beauty, art and flowers most of all. Been in love with Nova since she was five and while sweet she has a fiery fighting spirit and was adopted by the Fallen MC and Nova's birth family. “My dark horse,” she whispered. “So unique and brave and wild. I didn’t doubt for one second that you would. I don’t know how, but we’ll find a way to make it work, honey. We always do.” Inked In Lies begin when our heroine was just five years old, and she made friends with her next-door neighbors, a good hardworking but poor family who loved her with every breath. Their son, Jonathon (Nova) protected her when she witnessed the death of her mother and then she and her brother were torn apart in foster care, but then through a miracle, they were brought back together and raised with love by Nova's parents. Nova and Lila formed a bond, a bond most could never begin to comprehend, but as they grew older, feelings started to emerge. But while Lila stayed true to Nova and would have no other, Nova became restless and had to fight his own battles. But when Lila couldn't continue to put her heart on the table and be rejected by Nova, she turned down another path. But all roads eventually lead us to our fate, and Lila's road led her back to Nova when Nova realized he couldn't let his flower lady go to another man but now he will have to prove his worth to Lila. But there are secrets and dangers and only by trusting in each other's love will they be able to embrace a future together.... You are the fiercest, bravest, and kindest girl in the whole world. If someone chooses not to love you, they aren’t worthy of you. It’s really as simple as that Inked In Lies is a story that I was so captivated by, when I first started reading I told myself just a few chapters and before I knew it I had breezed through this story. I found so many captivating moments in this book, and I was so drawn in by Nova and Lila's story. It's a friends-to-lovers trope also with a mix of unrequited love and I love these types of tellings and Giana Darling did such a tremendous job in capturing their story in such a way that stole my heart completely. It's not a story that you will expect from this author, but it is one that will motivate you to find a beautiful love just like this one here. There are plenty of secrets and thrills that are emboldened into this story and it will only keep you wanting more for this pairing. They don't have an easy go of it. They both have their own challenges that they need to face. But seeing their friendship form was so unique and I loved seeing what was behind Nova's motivations. Through much of the story you wonder why he has spurned Lila. I mean, they are best friends and have a deep almost spiritual connection to each other. And when you find out what happened to him when he was younger, a secret no one knew about, I truly was stunned. My heart ached for Nova and how he never felt worthy of Lila but seeing Lila come into her own womanhood and femininity and find her own strength and be willing to fight for them even when Nova wouldn't, was a stunning portrayal of feminine strength of will and courage. I absolutely adore seeing an heroine fight for her MAN, we just don't see it enough in romance. You’re more than my family, you’re more than my best friend. You’re the choice I want to make every single day, to live to the fullest and love the hardest. Now there are other plot twists that are involved that just build the overall plot of the series. We still have the trafficking and the married couple in charge of it that pose a great risk to the MC. But seeing Lila be willing to go undercover and risk it all for the club was wonderful. She has a heart of gold and courage of that like Esther (bible), because those in the MC are her family and she wants an end to the threats against them. But there are some characters that come into play in this story that we won't expect, I certainly didn't. I wanted an appearance of Dane (and honestly I hope he gets a book because his story needs to be told), then we have the long-lost sister who has been stuck in prostitution and addicted to drugs, and hopes she finds the peace and HEA that she deserves herself. There are many leads in this story that could end in future books, but I truly adored seeing how this book evolved and it won't be a story easily forgotten. Not sayin’ it’s always gonna be a breeze, you bein’ with me, me tryin’ to be the kinda man worthy of the woman you are, the best kinda woman I’ll ever fuckin’ know, but you got patience, and me? I got time. That is, you wanna spend the rest of our life with me too. Overall I found Inked In Lies to be a story that will pierce you in all the right places, its story-heavy in emotion and will sting and stab you in places, but its a romance of deep abiding love, of healing, of renewal, and hope and finding the beauty amidst the storms of life.

Nova and Lila might be my favorite couple in the fallen men series BESIDE Zeus and LouLou. Speaking of the beast Zeus, you get quite a bit of him and his protectiveness of his family in this book. Nova is protective and stupid at the same time but you can't help but love and care for him the whole book. There are ups and downs in the book that I did not fully see coming. Be prepared to cry at least once!! If you are planning on reading the other books in the series, read those first than this one because it could spoil the other books for you!

where can i get my own nova booth please and thank you

DNF at pg 78. Am I unfamiliar with the dialect in BC? Am I missing something? Why is Nova's POV written like that? Also, I love me an age gap, but this is inappropriate. They meet when she's 5 and he's 17. He takes care of her like a big brother, even is her foster brother at one point, but in a weird way. I couldn't get past Nova's thought pattern and the age gap so it didn't help that the first 78 pages were all just world building but in the most boring way possible. My interest should have been peaked by now.

I COULDNT GET ENOUGH it’s my first read of the series and omg i’m starting book 1 now. Incredibly impressed, the author had me hooked from the get go!

Flower Girl I enjoyed this book but not nearly as much as the rest of the series. This book simultaneously pissed me off as much as It made me swoon. I do love the connection between Nova & Lila, I just didn’t love the beginning & how it took so long to get to anything good. But I still felt that the series as a whole is fabulous & totally worth the read.

Ngl, I wanted to skip Nova and Lila’s story and move on to Priest and Bea instead BUT IM GLAD I DIDNT. Okay, plot? Beautiful, wonderful, intriguing, engrossing. The lyrical writing got me falling harder for this book. Also can we talk about the spice? (Just so some of you are warned, Nova was “technically” Lila’s foster brother, I did have my issues initially, but it’s barely mentioned throughout the story) Lila. TATTOOED BRAVE AND BEAUTIFUL LILA. Badass, loyal, intelligent and extremely, extremely brave. Nova. see I would love him but he had my baby Lila heartbroken and for that I want to strangle him. I really do. I loved hearing about Loulou, H.R, Bea, Zeus and Lion and Bat and the rest of my Fallen men again. Honorary mention of the gorgeous Indian woman, Daksha. I wish she would’ve been a bigger part of the story as well. So yeah, go read this. <33

- a snoozefest, the plotline got dropped at like 30% and only remembered at the end of the book to use it for the climax, and when it happened it was so rushed i'm still trying to understand what the hell happened there - i didn't feel any chemistry whatsoever between the MCs, which is a whole feat for the author when you have these characters knowing each other since they were kids. it was just not there, everything was cringy or gave me second-hand embarrassment - no grovelling from nova when he treated lila like trash regardless of what his reasons were, and let's be honest, they were stupid af - lila never knew what the words dignity or self-respect were, she was just clingy, cringy and honestly all i felt for her was pity. like girl, at least make your man work for it for a while, is that too much to ask?? - i don't think flowery writing is the best way to go when you're writing an MC romance, at least when nova's POV would come, it would read so ridiculously everytime he spoke like he was possessed by shakespeare, i had to laugh. giana needs to tone it down with the flowry and metaphorical writing at least when the characters are interacting cause it's so unrealistic that a real person would speak like that, let alone a gang member but whatever floats her boat i guess - only finished this and didn't dnf it so i could read bea and priest's book, kinky psychopath nation let's goooooooooo

Lila. TATTOOED BRAVE AND BEAUTIFUL LILA. Badass, loyal, intelligent and extremely, extremely brave. I loved Lila through and through, already planning our wedding. Lila’s loyalty to the Fallen was one hell of a kind, her bravery? IMMACULATE. She’s also super intelligent, very much into flowers and quite an intellectual person in general. At some parts this badass babe pining after Nova had me wanting to strangle her and ask her WHY?! she moved on, not entirely but she made efforts, knowing her worth, but bloody Nova-
Nova. see I would love him but he had my baby Lila heartbroken and for that I want to strangle him. I really do. But all of our Fallen men struggle with their moral compass and claim being away from their women keeps them safe (absolute BS) When he did get with Lila though, it was beautiful. Wonderful. Magnificent. I mean the man knows a way into a woman’s heart
Yeah you get my point. I loved hearing about Loulou, H.R, Bea, Zeus and Lion and Bat and the rest of my Fallen men again. I think it’s what keeps me coming back, if feels familiar, like home.

4.5⭐️ I LOVED them!!!! Nova has my heart

“A pretty package with nothing inside the box is temporary. It’s not beauty it’s a lie,” I said softly, fiercely. “You are not that, Nova. You are the most handsome man anyone in your life has ever known because every single inch of you on the inside is flawless. I’ve spent years learning you. Loving you. I’ve traced the past of your personality as you’ve grown and changed, mapped the roads of your spirit and the valley of your heart so well I would know them with my eyes closed. So trust me, please, when I tell you, the least important of all your many gifts is your pretty face. You could be scarred tomorrow, I could go blind the next day, and I would think that you are the most dazzling soul I’ve ever known.” Jonathan “CasaNOVA” Booth is known to be a pretty face, and leaves a harem of women scrambling for him in his wake. Not tied down - but loyal to those closest to his heart always. His family both blood and the MC, and Lila. His sunflower, mi girasol. Lila Davalos Meadows. Is a force to be reckoned with. Being forced to experience things most adults shouldn’t see so early in life, she was connected to Nova immediately. Through him, she found the family she deserved, but it also held the unrequited love that she always carried for him. “Inked in Lies,” by Giana Darling is book 5 in The Fallen Men Series. It is a friends to lovers Age Gap Romance with a touch of the “forbidden.” Some could argue that - but I wouldn’t. It focuses on the storyline at hand with what the Fallen MC has been dealing with since the beginning of the series - with the focus being on Nova and Lila. They are best friends. They know each other better than they realize, and the fight to be together is fought one sided throughout part of the story. Lila goes to bat for Nova. She fights for their love so fiercely, that he doesn’t see her coming. The love they share is electric. Nova does not disappoint with his name leaving women crying in his wake. Another beautifully written masterpiece by Giana, and can’t wait for book 6!

Nobody does age gap like Giana Darling. Nobody does MC like Giana Darling. The way she writes big tough violent guys who are also sweet and loving and perfect... My heart. Just finished Inked in Lies and ohhh my god, it was amazing. Nova is officially giving Zeus a run for his money for my favorite Fallen man 😍brb going to buy a jacket that says property of Nova. Can we get some merch??

WOW !! Giana Darling is a new favourite author for sure. I have read the previous books in the Fallen Men series just this year and I was so very much hooked from the very beginning. This is book 5 in The Fallen Men series and yes it can be read alone but I do recommend you start from the very beginning so that you get to know some of the other characters in the book. Inked in Lies was so good! I swear I couldn't put it down and I really didn't want to put it down because boy was this one good. If you are looking for a HOT and sexy.
