By definition, you have to live until you die. Better to make that ife as complete and enjoyable an experience as possible, in case death is shite which I suspect it will be. 

I wish I hadn't waited so long to become a human being. Better late than never though, believe you me.

The fragile unity is shattered when Sick Boy and Renton have an argument about the merits of the pre and post Velvet Underground achievements of Lou Reed. 

It took about half of this book for me to really get into it, but once I did I enjoyed it. Definitely scenes I wish made the cut for the movie. A bit of a difficult read that took me longer than usual, in part due to the Scottish accent writing and the character change between chapters that felt hard to follow at times. This is the fourth book I’ve read about heroin addiction and it takes second place!
