It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want to Be The world's best selling book
Reviews

This wonderfully designed book excels in its simplicity. None of the pointers are particularly groundbreaking, but they serve as a good reminder to follow your ambitions.

Short and inspiring for everyone in a creative field.

Just read this book in an only an hour too, with similaer cover design and layout with same author

Um amontoado de lugares-comuns que eu só terminei de ler porque não estava fazendo nada e porque a tipografia e diagramação estavam atraentes.

Felt motivating and provided some food for thought, but ultimately there were no practical takeaways.

“It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be” is a guidebook full of motivational and insightful messages for anyone who is hungry for success. If you're in advertising or marketing you will enjoy this little book. It’s a mashup of wit and wisdom from the advertising world. This is not an in-depth guide on how to be successful. Rather than that it is a motivational tool for whenever you need a kick in the ass. It will remind you to be more determined, inspire you to be more courageous, and pursue your dreams. It’s a very short book and gets straight to the point. The book itself is definitely a work of art. Obviously created by an advertising professional.

quick and fun read. offers cool advice and gives you a lot to think about with the clever sayings and thought provoking images. some lines made me chuckle lmao. this is not a self help book!!! this is definitely a look into the business side of life, more specially towards creatives and even more towards creative professionals. it’s also fairly curt so i’d consider it a reference book, very good to check back on. 3.5/5 might give it a 4 just cuz :)

A short and sweet book about what advertising is about and what you need/should do if you want to stay creative and love what you do. General laws applied to the ad world, so itțs a good fit for those who don't work in advertising.

I picked this book again after having it on my shelf for couple of years now. The first time I read it, I could only relate to the first part of the book. I was looking for motivation at work. The later part focuses on niched idea generation on business/design/advertising. They are inspiring but seemed like elaborated alien examples to me. Yesterday when I read this again, it made more sense that now I’m on my creative journey of writing, creative design and communication in general. I’m glad I didn’t declutter this book and decided to read it twice.
