Another BANGER!!!! This so far might have been my favorite brotherhood story, Butch is just something special!! Loved how the whole story fell apart and came back together so beautifully!! Can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the Brothers!!

This one was probably my least favorite of the four. None the less it was still good I just definitely favor the third book the most!

Butch O Neal is a ex cop and the only mortal a part of the Brotherhood circle. Butch after certain events being brought into the Black Dagger Brotherhood, fell in love with a woman, who has held his heart ever since he met her. Now not having her in his life, he still feels the loss. Then when he leasts expects he he gets kindapped by some lessers and by the Omega. After the Omega opens him up and puts a part of himself into Butch, Butch knew he would never be the same ever again. He is then found by his friends of the Brotherhood, and taken to a doctor, since it is obvious to all that he has been changed. And there is only one person that can truly help him now....his lost love Marissa where only her love will save him, and take them on a journey that will change both of their lives for all time.

This is one of my favorites of this series so far, from the first pages, I was entranced. I have always wanted to read Butch's story, and now that I have, I am so glad that I did read his story. I loved this story where Butch finds a inner strength within himself that he never expected was there. Where the only one that truly saved him was Marissa, whom he has loved truly. Marissa is a vampire and has always feared hurting Butch. But when she is summoned to his side, she realizes how much Butch means to her. As their reconnect with one another, they will discover that their love is enough to give them strength to last all the struggles they will face as long as they face them together. This was a truly intense but emotional love story, that is a real treat to read.

I loved finally getting to see Marissa and Butch get together in this book and they are some of my favorite characters in this series. It didn't get the 5 stars as I wasn't a big fan of the villain side plot in this book (wasn't as interested at what the omega and his minions were doing as opposed to the other books and found that their chapters dragged on).

A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood

Aaaand I’m still loving them. I’m not really sure what to say at this point. I love the world, I’m incredibly invested in the conflict, I care about the characters deeply, and the romances in each book are satisfying. This series is such a fun rereading experience.

These books are SO addicting and every time I start reading them, time flies by and I can never put them down!! I really liked the slow building physical relationship between Butch and Marissa. It was refreshing to read about and I really liked Marissa even though she was a little frustrating at the end. The last book is still my favorite but this was a great addition to the series. I loved learning more about Butch and his family, that PLOT TWIST! This ones action packed and I felt so bad for everything he was going through! I really loved his friendship with V, although I will say at times it seemed like that relationship was going in a different direction then it did. I’m so happy with his HEA and I’m really looking forward to seeing more of Butch and Marissa!

Another brilliant story. I'm so late reading this series but I'm happy to read them now. I love everything about there's books so far. The fighting, the romance, the drama. It's everything.
Butch is a beast! Such a badass. I dig it. That's all I'm going to say.

Personally this wasn't the best book so far in the series and I wasn't really into it at first but I just can't help myself. 

This book tells the story of human Butch O'Neal and vampire Marissa. Through all the books I have loved Butch so I was so glad to finally get an insight into his past and I think that he is really tough guy. But for God's sake, during most of the book Marissa made me want to gauge my own eyes out. I get it she's a virgin and she doesn't want to lose the only person she has ever loved in battle but personally I think she was pretty pathetic. Basically she was one of those people you would like slap. Don't though, thankfully she's fictional. 

I think one of the best part of this book was the Epilogue where Butch's sister is talking to their mother. It made some of the book click into place.

This is another great book from J.R. Ward but for me it didn't quite hit the heights of Zsadist's story ("Lover Awakened"), but it was still an amazing read.

Marissa WHOMST? I will go down with my ship because there's no way I do not ship Butch & V even though I know they don't end up together. In my head, they were meant to be together in that way too. This reread of the series is bringing up all the feels for V and Butch and I am not okay.

I admit, I wasn't too keen going into this book even though I have loved the series thus far. I wasn't a huge fan of Butch at first, so having this book to focus on mainly him..I didn't know what I was going to think or feel. However, this book entirely changed my mind about the character, he is now one of my favorites of the series! Once I got over the hurdle of the "what if's" and the "don't know's", I once again got sucked in! Plus we get to see more badass vampires, and who doesn't love that!
