Changing the Game

so predictable! The plot followed the standard romance plot with no deviation. The dialogue especially during sex was corny. I actually cringed while reading it. On the upside, I'm excited to see where the third book will go. It's focused on the story of Jenna, the sister of Mick and Gavin. She seems more edgy with piercings and tattoos. I want to read about her romance with the hockey player.

Congratulations jaci burton for earning my respect with this sequel. To be honest I didn't care too much for the first play by play novel which left me with little to be desire for the second. I read it anyway and was pleasantly surprised. I think the thing that bothered me most was the first book in the series lacked a storyline. The sex scenes are incredible but that's where the line is drawn. In this sequel I liked the fact that Elizabeth had a story line. You could see character development between each member of the family. I enjoyed the struggle between the characters. I even liked the connection that flows between the first and the second with reoccurring characters. Overall I feel as though changing the game has proved to be an overall redeeming sequel and I am looking forward to Jenna's story.
