Felt very insightful, some minor technical moments, definitely worth a reread at a later date 💭

Suggestions to anyone who needs to improve his habits

Probably the clearest, informative, and practical book that has ever changed my life and perception. The directness is the main power of this book.

Clear, meaningful, truly practical guide to make an impactful change in your life. It’s approachable concepts are ones you can apply and keep applying to different facets of your life for the rest of your life.

A one stop solution for all your problems. Habits are the building blocks of our future and if we can learn to control it, nothing can stop us from achieving.

Definitely helps alot when you're a procastinator, I used to always sit around aimlessly looking for videos and random content anywhere to help "motivate" me but this book definitely taught me it's about discipline and not motivation and probably a sign that if you WANT to become more knowledgeable don't turn to YouTube or Tiktok just turn to an actual solid book (or you'll end up in a loophole watching tiktoks for an hour)

Very interesting book. I enjoyed the real life examples in each chapter.

This book has changed my life fr

Empowering, actionable, concise, introspective, and fun! This book is for everyone.

This book is excellent. I'll post an in depth review shortly.

3. Start small, make it simple. Kata kuncinya: mudah. 4. Konsisten. Lakukan berulang-ulang. 5. Well, that’s it for now.

This was an okay book. It had good point but I just didn’t really enjoy it.

Buenos consejos. Sintetizados en diez páginas hubiera sido perfecto.

Most of the mindsets I have are slowly changing mostly because this book has kept me thinking about the 2-minute rule which didn't abruptly made me super fast at work but I somehow see how I'm trying to cultivate a better habit of following through.

James Clear writes very well and simply. The concepts were set out very straightforwardly, so I always knew what the point of each chapter was. I appreciated the use of the case studies and concrete suggestions in each chapter. The chapter summary at the end of each chapter made it easy to revise what I'd just read. You're likely to get something out of this, and probably quite a few things.

One of the ultimate books for improving one's life.

Might reread.

Nothing novel

It’s really hard for me to get through self help books but this was such an easy read with brilliant strategies to increase my own efficiency and better myself.

I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to listen to, I loved the real world examples that were referenced, and he made setting habits sounds easy. This just start with one thing for one or two minutes. Highly recommend!

first half is good, another half becomes repetitive.

“Small habits don’t add up. They compound.” I agree that nothing in life ever changes drastically. And this book has successfully encouraged me more towards becoming a strong believer (and hopefully a committed practitioner) of the idea. We might see change occurs within a certain period of time, meanwhile, the process into changing itself takes longer time than the actual “changing period” The book explains a lot about some really good approaches on how to be consistent so that the process of making a habit is not goal-oriented. It is a never-ending cycle.
Highlights

When you have repeated a story to yourself for years, it is easy to slide into these mental grooves and accept them as a fact.

We all deal with setbacks—but in the long run, the quality of our lives often depends on the quality of our habits. With the same habits, you’ll end up with the same results. But with better habits, anything is possible.

A habit is a routine or behavior that is performed regularly—and, in many cases, automatically.

And I knew that if things were going to improve, I was the one responsible for making it happen.
This. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Right f*cking here.

Focus on taking action, not being in motion.

In this way, the process of building habits is actualy the process of becoming yourself.

Fix the inputs and the outputs will fix themselves.

Time magnifies the margin between success and failure.

"People get so caught up in the fact that they have limits that they rarely exert the effort required to get close to them."

"When scientists analyze people who appear to have tremendous self-control, it turns out those individuals aren’t all that different from those who are struggling. Instead, ‘disciplined' people are better at structuring their lives in a way that does not require heroic willpower and self-control."

“The most effective form of learning is practice, not planning“

If nothing changes, nothing is going to change

„Imagine two people resisting a cigarette. When offered a smoke, the first person says, “No thanks. I’m trying to quit.” It sounds like a reasonable response, but this person still believes they are a smoker who is trying to be something else. They are hoping their behavior will change while carrying around the same beliefs.
The second person declines by saying, “No thanks. I’m not a smoker.” It’s a small difference, but this statement signals a shift in identity.“

if you can get 1 percent better each day for one year, you'll end up thirty-seven times better by the time youre done. Conversely, if you get 1 percent worse each day for one year, you'll decline nearly down to zero. What Starts as a small win or minor setback accumulates into something much more

"Habits are a double edge sword. Bad habits can cut you down just as easily as good habits can build you up, which is why understanding the details is crucial. You need to know how habits with and how to design them to your liking, so you can avoid the dangerous half of the blade."
