Weird plot lines, hard to follow and not as good as the original series. Still going to continue to read the series though lol

Different style than the Maze Runner books I’m used to. Whole new set of characters (except for Frypan for some reason, but he’s old). Does that annoying thing at the beginning where the characters know everything but you don’t, then spends the rest of the book following a mysterious but exciting buildup to… nothing.

OK book. Bad sequel.

The end does not really make sense to me so I will just wait for the second book before I make any statements.
