I’ve become a fan of James Patterson and his writing style. This book is a real page turner. Hard to put down and the suspense builds up nicely.

An enjoyable James Patterson novel, focusing on different issues but still with the same core elements all of his books have. Tom Moon was a likeable character, passionate about his work and caring more about the victims of crime rather than FBI bureaucracy. Hanna Greete, a Dutch criminal running a human trafficking scheme, was a very well-written character. I loved the various layers from her obvious criminal mentality to the just as obvious love she holds for her family, daughter Josie and brother Albert. Overall, this novel does not rank as highly for me as others by Patterson, lacking the same level of excitement and unexpected turns I am used to, but ultimately it was still a decent novel that I enjoyed reading.

Not one of James Patterson’s finest. Tom Moon, an ex college football player, philosophy and art major with a law degree who currently works for the Miami PD and a collaborative FBI task force is on a mission to stop the Russians from trafficking humans into the U.S. His hunt takes him to the Neatherlands where he joins forces with their law enforcement. The book tended to be tedious and slow. It seemed like Tom Moon’s skills and education continued to expanded as another situation presented itself. There were too many “soap box” moments and “chasing rabbits.” It wasn’t a book where you were invested in the characters. Trigger warnings: strong language, violence and graphic situations

This was honestly one of the most meh books ever! Was there a climax? It ended weird and I’m just glad it’s finally done and I never have to read a word of it again
