This book had some of the same fun but it got overly preachy really dang fast. I dislike global warming, too, but this was a little much. I saw the start of that theme in the last book, and that was OK... in this one it went further. That said, it was fun and interesting to see how the flock got on after supposedly beating those that wanted to exploit them.

Strange things start happening in Mt.Hope after everyone returns after the nuclear plant meltdown. Jordan and Maggie are the only ones who are able to see the big picture of super human strength, animals acting strange and aggressive, and how there’s no communication with the outside world. They come together to try to save their family, friends, neighbors and town. **Useless graphic language, violence towards humans and animals. Choosing a pitbull to show aggression and animal abuse shows a lack of research.
