Star Wars 18 (Nuova serie)

Very good. Storyline about Vader being "trapped" against all odds. Starts really good and can't wait to see where it's going. (and I was hating on Vader's solo ongoing series because it was boring at most times, Aphra times that is.)

**Reviewed this thinking it was Vader's Vol.2, so no 2 stars for this one but for Vader** So here it goes for the ACTUAL Star Wars ongoing title: Great. Great. Great. Fun. Fun. Fun. You should be reading this. If not the best Star Wars title that is running currently, then one of the best for sure. Actually no, it is the best. Because I have no problem with anything that is happening whatsoever. It's just really good. You like Star Wars? Read it.

Not even Leinil Francis Yu's wonderful art couldn't give this more stars. Boring as fuck story that pukes cliche and cringe-worthy dialogue all over the fans of the series. I'm generally a fan of Aaron's stuff. Especially his Thor. Punisher Wolverine.. hmm Ghost Rider was great too. Anyway.. I really like him. And his beginning on Star Wars was great too. So I'm at loss here, wondering what went wrong.. I can only assume he got bored? He wanted to bring back that Edel? guy.. who gives a shit. I don't even remember and I read the annual. But of course I wouldn't give 2 shits about that character. Also, speaking of not giving a shit.. Aphra must die. Been saying that since she first appeared and I do have a couple of friends that like her too.. but that character is boring as fuck. Yeah yeah I'll read her solo series someday and maybe I'll be proven wrong because people say so... but until then and on this title she is boring. At least to me. She's begging everyone to free her then she's trying to help everyone, then she's threatening everyone, then she's trying to talk to people again to free her then I want to put my fingers in my skull through my fucking eyes to scratch my fucking brain so I can forget every panel I read with her. FUCK. YOU. BORING. ASS. APHRA. Now to the dumb as fuck dialogue. Shit like 3 women enter prison to imprison one of them. In which one of the 2 women wants to KILL said 3rd woman. We hear for like 555 pages and 999 panels the fucking warden telling us how this PRISON IS OFF THE MAP. NO ONE CAN FIND IT. NO ONE CAN ENTER. NO ONE CAN BREAK OUT. WE HAVE A BAZILLION GUNS AND ARMY and and and... and hey.. heh.. guess WHAT happens after 3-4 pages? No no GUESS!... hehe no no no no I won't tell you, you GUESS! -___- Yeah... they break in the fuckin prison 5 minutes after Leia and who gives a fuck arrives there and put the who gives a shit in jail. YEAP! Shocked I know. As I was. -___- Anyway.. on to the next dumb! So.. we got Leia who imprisoned Aphra with some other woman (don't know/don't care) all the while APHRA is WITH the fucking EMPIRE. She's LITTERALLY telling EVERYONE that she works WITH FUCKING VADER. She's telling Leia the warden and the others "VADER IS GOING TO COME AND KILL YOU ALL. THAT IS IF I DON'T DO IT FIRST"...pff why am I pissed off with that you say? Get this-- once the prison is starting to blow up and shit goes to hell and all that because of course that would happen 5 minutes after they arrived... Leia NOT only decides to recapture her captive and free her from jail. But also gives her guns and shit and all 3 are like YEAH WE'RE BADASS NOW AND WE'RE A TEAM NOW so let's be together and pose and shit.. because FUCK logic. Yeah? Fuck you too then!!!! Han and Luke arriving and being like WE'RE HERE TO SAVE YOU.. 2 minutes after this ,this Edel dumb guy captured them (no one cares how?! oh ok)... and he says to Leia "kill Aphra" or they die. (Unfortunately the worst character on Star Wars since fucking Jar Jar didn't die.) But to have the nerve to show us this fucking "villain" since the beginning and be all secretive about it and make him all badass and shit, killing inmates as a mission, saying dumb--sorry smart-- one-liners *pukes* blowing up shit, breaking in prisons that are unbreakable, making him capture fucking Han Solo and that kid who blew up the fucking Death Star, and then have the greatest plan ever with the dumbest idea EVER... He literally wanted WHAT? For Leia to kill Aphra? Dude had absolutely no connection to Aphra, she was just one more from the empire. But yeah ok let's be fucking poetic for the fuck of it because we need a reason for Leia to play the "I won't kill my friends but also I won't kill an innocent person because of his/her beliefs" card. I'll give you that, but to have this half-dimensional-garbage-of-a-character-burned-face-nobody-remembers-who lose just like that after all that shit you put us through, for 2 shitty pages where NOTHING happens and there's NO pay-off in the story.. and not even have the other garbage of a character Aphra die. No. Fuck that shit. I hope volume 4 picks up because that was complete shit and I already purchased volume 4 so yeah, fuck me. Weakest volume so far. Shitty as fuck. Dumb as shit and written for 5 year olds. I had this 2 stars but dropped it down to 1 star because I remembered how fucking awful and boring it was to read and I got angry writing this shit. Do NOT read it. If you want to read it just slap yourself and say NO.

Finished it. I liked it for the most part, just another Star Wars story, but it gets 2 stars simply because even though I bought the rest of the issues, this is the point were it got not that interesting for me and had to put it down. Of course at some point I'm going to continue the series, but not right now.

DNF'd. I basically read the script, there's nothing new, noteworthy, or expanded on, just the inclusion of that deleted scene

Oh my God, I loved this. I felt everyone acted as their characters should and the action was exciting! Would love to see this as an animated feature.

a comic showcasing varied adventures in the Star Wars universe. None of the stories particularly stood out except for Luke and Leia's and Lando and Sana's. I must give praise to Salvador Laroca for his simply gorgeous artwork. It is perhaps my favorite aspect of this run.
