I found the characters all sorta insufferable but the ending was good

Halfway through the book, I suspected one character because of that one small action. It was easy to spot if you're familiar with how things work. But it was still a thrilling story because I wanted to know how and why it happened.

This had a few shocking twists

called the plot twist from a MILE away

Really good! Did not see the twist coming until it happened!

Have you ever been in the mood to watch a classic murder mystery movie without caring if you were actually shocked in the end? You really just wanted a simple classic murder mystery & you got exactly that? Thats how I felt with this book! I knew who it was 9 pages in but I didn’t care! I ate this book up & still got the twists & turns in the end I needed ♥️ This book gave me exactly what I needed.

It was a good read. It kept me interested and wanting to know where it was going to go. Some of it was predictable towards the middle but still a good book!

Great thriller! I couldn't put it down.

Great thriller!

It’s a good book but it was a bit predictable towards the end. Also, EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE is annoying.

First, I love Jeneva. She is someone I admire and I will always read everything she writes. I actually think this is her most well-written book. It's twisty but brings in-depth emotion that hasn't always been found in past books. There's a feel-good aspect of it despite being a murder book! Overall, I'll recommend it!

This was such a great redemption for me after my last Jeneva Rose book. I did end up guessing what happened early on in the book, but it was still a lot of fun to read. I really enjoyed the narration as well.

as a middle child, can i just say that i love you, nicole.

I haaaaaate a predictable plot twist BUT I’m a sucker for a good thriller and ESPECIALLY a sucker for an estranged sibling story (idk why, I love my all siblings with my entire heart).
also loved how this book addressed grief and addiction and relationships. Fun time.
3.75/5

Beth, Nicole, and Michael gather to bury their mother. Their father disappeared seven years ago, and they have never had closure. And now, they find a VHS tape that makes it clear their parents covered up a crime.
This novel was an interesting thriller, but more than that, it was a story of families, addiction, grief, and the depths to which we will go for those we love.

Didn’t feel quite like the Jeneva Rose I know and love.

I enjoyed this book but it gets points off because I was able to guess the ending.
