I really enjoyed this book. There were parts that had me literally laughing out loud (particularly the conversations with Dylan), and some parts that were heart breaking.

it seems like i wasted my time for reading this book. there are so many things that the author could change and make this story more enjoyable.

it is so poor written. there aren't any description of anything, i don't even remember how the two main characters look like unless morgan's pink hair. In the book we see morgan and ruby's houses, the school, a little lake and a pub but we don't know how they are. The other characters haven't a personality and we don't have a description of them and we don't know absolutely nothing about them. 

This book should be a sport romance but we are not told anything about the race and its rules or any kind of competition. Ruby is supposed to be a beauty queen but we don't have any moment of her doing a competition and it isn't even described.

but probably what i hated even more was Morgan character. She pissed me of since the first time she showed up. She pretend to be an icon for LGBTQ+ people but she doesn't show any kind of support for people that are scared of coming out. She pretend that everyone must be brave and comes out only because she has a supportive family, and the way she stressed Ruby with che coming out thing it was just so annoying and it made me so angry like STFU ??? that was Ruby's coming out, not yours so you MUST be silence and wait for her to be ready. 

Probably the only thing that i liked were some parts of their relationship, ruby, billy, danny, aaron, maybe dylan.

I had a hard time believing that Morgan and Ruby actually liked each other. And Morgan annoys me because it's hard for her to see that not everybody can just come out, which is weird because wasn't she technically outed?

This is more a 2.7-something for me. It was a fine reading and it’s easy to keep going because it has a nice pace but all the shoving-you-out-of-the-closet just because you should love me by now it’s messed up. It doesn’t matter if she ends up “understanding” which, again, was not a realization of her own rather she had to be told that was messed up for her to suddenly own her mistake. And let’s be honest, it seems that the only reason Ruby told her mom was because of “love”, which is not realistic for kids in dangerous environments to come out. It seemed like Morgan expected to be Ruby’s priority all the time like studying and college is not even more important than that, especially since they weren’t really an official thing. I’m not downplaying teen love but, speaking for me, my studies (even hating them) are the most important thing in my life, which seemed to be the same for Ruby after she saw she could have a chance at entering a good college. I specially didn’t like that this resolution was after Ruby competed since we all know was easier to accept her not wanting to come out. 

They’re relationship wasn’t that well developed either and sometimes slut-shaming and forcing people to out themselves didn’t get through as a critique or lesson for the MC rather than trying to make a point that she was correct. I think the realization happened too late to be appreciated for what it was trying to point out. 

Overall it wasn’t a bad reading, but I disagreed wholeheartedly about the coming out topic and representation.

I picked up this book because of the cover. It was cute, and I liked both of the girls' backgrounds and how they were both so different to one another. Morgen was annoying a lot of the times, and Ruby was okay. They were both not super interesting to me, but I still felt sympathetic towards them both at times.

Very cute rom-com. It was a refreshing and easy read, really enjoyed it.

It was sweet and romantic, I loved reading about Ruby and Morgan's journey.

I have to say, both of them were pissing me off sometime throughout the book, they're so stubborn and can't listen to what the other one is saying! But I am glad that they figured it out eventually and they can have their happily ever after.

it was just okay, more like a 2.5, it was the first audiobook I’ve ever finished so that’s a good thing, but the bad thing is that— as much as I hate to say it bc i love lesbians— morgan annoyed the hell out of me and I NEVER condone outing people without consent even if ur dating. immediate turn off from the whole book that the narrative depicts that as okay, but u know, cheesy cute sapphic romance so it was okay

           this book was okay, however, what really ruined it for me was the storyline where morgan wouldn’t date ruby unless she was willing to label everything and i know by the end she’s come to the realisation that what she’s done is wrong but it’s too late by then because she’s spent 150 pages going after ruby

This book is amazing. There is no other way to put it. From the first chapter i was immediately hooked. This book kept me guessing and reading the whole time. The issues that is addressed were also super relatable. Anyone can learn a lot from this book, no matter what age. Overall great book and i rated it 4.5⭐️. This book is definitely worth the read! It’s a cute contemporary romance between two girls. One girl does pageants and fixes cars which breaks the stereotype. They start as enemies but quickly grow to love each other. The only sad thing was that it wasn’t a slow burn, but that’s just personal preference. 
“Some girls do” reminded me of “she drives me crazy”. So if you like one of the two, you most likely will like the other as well!

The first half of this book? Super cute. Fun banter. I liked it a lot. 

Second half of this book? (view spoiler)[ All the characters did was fight. It was 100 pages of fighting and then almost making up and then fighting again. I lost sight of their chemistry and I got bored.  (hide spoiler)]

Even though she realized what she did in the end..... I'm disappointed in Morgan being a pushy, manipulative girlfriend. And of course.. she kind of gets what she wants which makes it seem not so bad.
ALSO- at the beginning we know how Ruby feels but Morgan doesn't and repeatedly, Ruby asks Morgan to stay away and she just keeps pushing it. Trash.

This was such a cute romance! I honestly had no idea what it was about, but the cover was cute, so I bought it and I ended up loving it. This book had all the feels and was full of such cute couple moments between Ruby and Morgan (which speaking of, I hope to one day have just a speck of the level of confidence that Morgan possesses).
